Seven Months

It seems we've been off the air since May. A full seven months during which things changed, a lot and a little, but despite all that, things stayed constant and true. It was a slightly different Summer than we'd usually spend. Aside from a camping trip and a couple of overnights near hiking destinations we didn't do a full family holiday this year. I quit my job in June and have been resourcefully enjoying the break ever since. I'll figure out a forum on which to publish details of my travels later. But for now, the role of this blog remains the same: to capture shared memories, traditions and achievements - individual and collective. And off we go.

Tree-Planting 1. That man goes through spades like matches!

This is us planting the Cherry Blossom with S's godmother got her as a communion gift because it blooms around communion time each year.

Bloom

Bloom

Bloom is an annual tradition with me and the girls. We rarely buy garden tools and barely even make it to the display gardens. But we do love the pizza and free Pombears. We also get to meet a hero of ours Pombear man in the flesh. So it's always pretty special. These are the hammocks which, every year we've been going, the girls make a beeline for. Only for one or both of them to fall from like an over-ripe apple, landing with a winded thud. Every year. Except this one. They're growing up.

What A Beautiful Piece Of Countryside

We spent our first few of hopefully many sleeps, just short of a week I think, camping in our field under Dún Álainn. It is indeed a beautiful part of the world.
